"Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing."

1 Thessalonians 5:11 (NIV)

Who are we?

Encouragements is a website run by the team at Church Pages. We're a group of graphic designers and online geeks. We basically love using the internet to share ideas and get great products into the hands of great people. You can read more about Church Pages and the church websites we build here

Why did we start encouragements?

We're also a team that love the word of God and we all know the power of an encouraging word from a friend (or even stranger!) when it comes at the right time. As friends we found ourselves writing encouraging words (on post-its or little postcards) to each other and thought, why not make these crazy doodles from our hilarious minds available to others, who may understand our special sense of humour!

We love how the Bible can make a real difference in people's lives but also find that many people struggle to engage (or even laugh) with scripture. The Bible says we're to 'encourage one another and build each other up' and this doesn't have to be anything fancy - simply a postcard can do that.

Encouragements is our way of sharing our love of the power of scripture, in a humorous way. We hope you enjoy and would love to get your feedback on our designs and stories of your friends reactions to them.

What makes our postcards different to other Christian postcards?

Good question. There are lots of Christian postcards and cards out there - and some really lovely ones. We just know that our sense of humour is a little bit unique which leads to some fun designs, which you may not have seen elsewhere.

How are we inspired for new designs?

Another good question. Usually Emma (our resident designer) will have a flash of inspiration from something Heather (our resident encourager) has said in passing. Or it'll be something we see on a church site, something we read on our own, a postcard we've seen that we liked - anything really!

The legal bit?

Okay, we know people rarely ask legal questions but, if you are interested you can see our Terms and Conditions here, and our Privacy Policy here
